Format

You begin with group stages where you are randomly added against 3 others. After that 3 advance to the second stage. The double elimination bracket, you have to earn your way to the final.

Group Stage

You starts with a group stage where you play of head-to-head matches with all players on your card. You play all positions on your station and report your score and who wins and loses. Based on your total score we find out who advances to the next stage.

50+ players 3 out 4 advance
25 players advance to winner and 25 advance to loser bracket

Double Elimination Bracket

You then play a one match head-to-head to advance up the leaderboard. You can afford to lose one match in the winner bracket and get bumped to loser bracket. But if you lose there then you are out. The player who advances to the finals in the winner brackets need only to win 1 off the final match but the player from the loser bracket needs to win 2 matches.

Lose once fine,

Lose twice and your out

Rules and format

SPC26

1. Group Stage

All players start in the Group Stage.

Each group consists of four* players.
Every player plays one head-to-head match against every other player in their group, for a total of three matches per player.

All matches are played using the official SPC match format (same distances, number of attempts, and sudden death rules for everyone).

After each match, the players report:

  • Winner (Score)

  • Loser (Score)

Group standings are ranked by:

  1. Number of match wins

  2. Points scored

  3. Points Difference

2. Advancement from Groups

How many players advance depends on the total number of competitors:

100+ players

  • 3 out of 4 players advance from each group

  • Group 1st and 2nd → Winners Bracket

  • Group 3rd → Losers Bracket

  • Group 4th → Eliminated

Up to ~50 players

  • All 4 players advance

  • Group 1st and 2nd → Winners Bracket

  • Group 3rd and 4th → Losers Bracket

3. Double Elimination Bracket

After the Group Stage, the tournament continues in a Double Elimination Bracket.

Each player has two lives*:

  • Lose once → you drop from Winners Bracket to Losers Bracket

  • Lose twice → you are eliminated

In short:

Lose once = still alive
Lose twice = out

4. Finals

The finals are played between:

  • the winner of the Winners Bracket

  • the winner of the Losers Bracket

Because this is double elimination:

  • The Winners Bracket finalist only needs to win one match

  • The Losers Bracket finalist must win two matches in a row

If the Losers Bracket player wins the first final, a second and decisive final is played.

5. Match Format

All matches, in both Group Stage and Brackets except finals, are played as:

  • Head-to-head putting matches

  • Same distances and rules for both players

  • First player to fail at a distance loses the match

  • Ties are reported as ties with your score.

How to play

  • You play against your opponent on each distance on your station.

  • MPO: 5–7–9–11–13…

  • FPO: 3–5–7–9–11…

  • You get to throw all 3 putters on each distance.

  • You get one point per hit put that lands in the basket.

  • The player with the most points wins. (You can draw)

  • Report your score and who wins to the TD after all players in your group have played all matches.
